What Do PC Specs Mean? – Graphics Card

This is a continuation of What Do PC Specs Mean? – Processors

Graphics cards manage everything that is displayed and rendered on your computer. There are a lot of graphics card makers and it would take a while to name them all, so I’ll stick with Nvidia. I started to do about Intel but I know NOTHING about Intel cards. Nvidia mainly do gaming graphics cards and the current best is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080ti 11gb VRAM. The GeForce  GTX bit is the type. This example, I think, means good for gaming. The 10 in 1080 is the 10 series and the 80 is the version/model. Series 10 is good for rendering and running games while 9 is the previous version. The TI is a later version made better with more VRAM and higher speeds. VRAM is dedicated graphics ram. A GTX 1080 will usually perform better than a GTX 980.  I, personally, have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950m 2gb VRAM and an Intel HD Graphics 580 -Hope you learned something-
