Dear Parents and Carers,
Following the update from the Government last night (16th March), the following precautions for COVID-19 are now in place;
1) Individuals displaying the symptoms of a new continuous cough, a temperature over 37.8 degrees or both, must now self-isolate for 14 days. If one person is self-isolating in the household, the whole household just self-isolate. Any pupils or staff that had began to self-isolate under the previous guidance will be contacted today to remind them that they now need to self-isolate for 14 days;
2) Pupils that report having a new continuous cough or a temperature or both symptoms, will be asked to be collected by parents or carers and will need to self-isolate for 14 days;
3) Pupils with significant health issues (heart issues, respiratory issues, kidney issues, diabetes) will be advised to stay at home and “shield” themselves from any potential risk from COVID-19. As a school, we have asked several members of staff to remain at home due to underlying medical conditions.
We have a number of pupils and staff of school due to the guidance above. Therefore, we will be delivering a collapsed timetable until further notice to enable us to keep the school running.
If your child does fall into any of the above categories, please inform us of their absence by using the following link:
As I am sure you can appreciate, phone lines and email inboxes are very busy at this time.
We will try and keep you updated as much as possible as and when we receive updated guidance from the Government.
