This week we have been most blessed here in school to welcome a special statue of Our Lady of Grace from the Parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

This has been arranged so that pupils and staff can come together and pray this special prayer which is most dear to Our Lady’s Heart as we enter this Month of Extraordinary Mission during October.  October is also the Month of the Holy Rosary and all are encouraged to consider praying this powerful and well-loved prayer.

Each of the Year 5 Classes have been privileged to come down each Reading Time this week and pray a decade of the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary.  We have prayed personal prayer intentions and intentions around the Home and Family Life.

Yesterday afternoon we were blessed to enjoy a special time of prayer in company with Archbishop Bernard Longley from St Chad’s Cathedral in Birmingham.  The whole of Year 6 came down to the Hall and spent 45 minutes together praying the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary along with him through a live feed link up on YouTube.  It was a really lovely and prayerful occasion and the pupils were fantastic and got so much out of the time together in prayer and reflection.  It was estimated that over 6,900 spiritual snow-white budded prayer roses for each Hail Mary said well and devoutly were created to form part of Our Lady’s Beautiful Heavenly Garden.

May Our Lady of the Rosary receive all our prayers and present them to Our Lord.

Our Lady of the Rosary, Queen of Heaven, Pray for us!
