I’ll keep it short and sweet as haven’t really got anything new to report!
Firstly, thanks for everyone’s support over the past few weeks. It has been really tough for everyone in our school community but the true Bede’s spirit has shone through and everyone has been fantastic.
St Bede’s is closed for the Easter holiday as of 3.30pm today (Friday 3rd April). Staff will not be expected to provide work over the Easter holiday and will not be online to field queries or questions from pupils during this time. As I am sure you can appreciate, staff and pupils do need to have a break from online working. Staff will be back online on Monday 20th April and will be setting new tasks for pupils and will be responding to queries, provided there are no major changes from the Government!
Thanks to all parents and carers for their positive messages and messages of good will. It has been really uplifting for staff to have those. I know that it hasn’t been plain sailing for all parents so please contact us via email@example.com should you have any issues. Facebook isn’t the best place to air any problems you may have as it isn’t always manned. If you email reception, you will get a faster response to any questions or queries.
This week, we say goodbye to Miss Parker and Mrs Finn. Miss Parker has been our Head of Maths and has been instrumental in supporting the school to improve our outcomes at both KS2 and KS3. She is off to start her own business and we wish her every success. Mrs Finn has worked at St Bede’s and has taught a range of subjects. She is going to work as a Heritage Manager for Droitwich Town Council where she can put her love of History into action. We wish both all the best for the future and remind them that they always will be part of the Bede’s family.
After Easter, Mr Sanders will be joining us as Head of KS3 Maths. He is joining us from another Redditch middle school and I am sure that you will all make him welcome, when you get the chance!
Please take care of yourselves over the Easter break. Have some time to relax where you can and look after one another.
I have found my faith has really helped support me over the past few weeks and has really helped me get through some dark times. I hope it has done for you all too.
We really miss all of you and can’t wait till we can all be back together. #wearebedes
All our love.
God bless and take care,
Head of School
