Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope everyone is keeping well and has been enjoying the glorious weather over the past few days. It’s been really hot in school and only compounded by the fact that we cannot have air conditioning units on due to corona! However, Miss Waters did a great job and got ice lollies for everyone in school to enjoy on Wednesday this week!

Just a couple of updates from me..

Year 5 Parents

You will have received links and information with regards to our device scheme for Year 6 pupils from September 2020. Please take a look at the information provided. It is a fantastic, affordable scheme which will mean that your child can get a laptop that is fully insured and supported by Lourdes IT. This is a voluntary scheme and is not compulsory. More information at this link: http://www.lourdesit.org.uk/devices/

Year 8 Parents

You and your child will have received information about our Farewell Picnic on Monday 20th July. If your child hasn’t responded, please ensure that they have by emailing their tutor or by filling in the link to the form that has been sent. If your child does not inform us of their attendance, they will not be able to turn up on the day. We need to ensure that we have accurate numbers for social distancing precautions.

Free School Meals

We understand that personal circumstances may have changed for some of our families during the coronavirus pandemic. We have sent out the link to the form to complete if you think that you are eligible for Free School Meals. If you are in receipt of free school meals, this means that the school can get extra funding to support your child. Please follow this link to apply:

With regards to our September start, we are still awaiting guidance from the DFE as to what school will look like moving forward. As soon as we have this guidance, we will be sharing our plans with you. We can’t wait to return to some sort of normality.

As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions, concerns or worries.

Take care, stay safe and God bless.

Luke
