Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back! I trust everyone had a happy, holy and peaceful Christmas and New Year. After being back just a few days, we are truly into the swing of things! Pupils have come back keen and eager to learn and with minimal uniform issues. We thank you for your support in ensuring that our high uniform standards are adhered to.
This week, we welcomed many new staff to St Bede’s to cover for the vast number of maternity leaves that we currently have.
Miss Wilde joined us and she is teaching English, Geography and RE and is covering for Miss Allen as a form tutor whilst she is on maternity leave.
Miss Wright is teaching English and Geography and is covering for Mrs Supolova Beardmore as a form tutor whilst she is on maternity leave.
Mrs Lynch is teaching English and History.
Mr Newton is teaching Maths and Science and has taken over 6NST from Mrs Strickland.
We also welcomed Mrs Watkiss and Miss Fry, who have joined us a Cover Supervisors.
Mrs Cornwell, who was previously a volunteer Teaching Assistant, is now with us 3 days a week as an employed Teaching Assistant.
I am delighted to tell you that Miss Mogg also had her baby over Christmas so we welcome Rose Beatrice into the world!
As you can probably tell, it’s been a very busy few first days for these members of staff and I am sure that you will join me in giving all a big welcome to the St Bede’s family.
Once again, I have to remind all visitors to school about considerate parking. We had a very near miss earlier in the week on Sillins Avenue. Please be considerate of our neighbours and other road users.
As always, we are always at the end of the phone or on email, so please do not hesitate to get in contact should you have any worries or concerns.
