Dear Parents and Carers,
At the end of what has been an incredibly surreal week, I just wanted to check in with everyone to say that all our thoughts and prayers are with every member of our school community. We pray that everyone is keeping themselves healthy and are following the clear Government guidance of staying at home and only leaving for essential reasons.
School has been open to the children of some key workers. However, I must stress that those parents MUST ONLY send their children to school if they have NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE. To protect our staff and other students and to adhere to the appropriate social distancing protocols, we need to ensure that we have as few pupils in school as possible and should this situation continue for a prolonged period, we will be asking parents to provide us with evidence of their working patterns to ensure that the childcare provision is absolutely necessary.
Our finance team are working incredibly hard with outside agencies and trip providers to get your money back to you for the trips that have had to have been cancelled due to COVID-19. They have sent out individual updates to parents for each of the trips and have sent out guidance as to the liaison they are having with ParentPay. Please bear with them and they will provide you with information as and when it is available to us. Please leave our finance team to liaise with the trip providers on your behalf. Please be assured that they are working their hardest to get your money back for you.
Thanks to all the staff and pupils that have been working from home. I know that this is a challenging situation for all and there have been some frustrations. We operate both Teams and Sharepoint to ensure that as many pupils as possible can access work. We also have printed packs at reception for each year group that can be collected between 9am-12pm daily. The main issue seems to have been accessing SharePoint. Please only access the SharePoint through the following link: https://stbedes.sharepoint.com/sites/StBedesOffsiteWorking
In these uncertain times, as soon as we get information, we will be issuing updates. Please follow our Facebook page and follow me on Twitter @MrPStBedes where I will be posting updates as regularly as we can.
In the meantime, take care, follow the advice to stay home and look after your loved ones.
