The last two weeks have brought in a new cohort of Junior Apprentice Programme pupils from Years 5 and 7. The focus this half term is hospitality and catering, exploring careers in this area as well as learning vital soft skills along the way. Last week, group researched different careers in this area and then researched and made a variety of starters; these included crispy chicken, spring rolls and cheese and onion pastries! This week, pupils looked at the difference between a red state of mind and a blue state of mind, thinking of their own strategies to get from a state of red frustration to a blue state of calm. They then researched main courses and enjoyed making pizza and beef taco’s in the afternoon. Every group was successful in making a main course which is testament to their ability to follow instructions and teamwork.
