Every day I am going to send you a thought or two, prayers and a scripture to give you (I trust) some light and hope from the Lord as we live through these shadowed times.
We are now in the 2nd Week of the Easter Season. Easter lasts for 50 days (Not just Easter Sunday!!)
Eastertide Weekly tip for the 2nd Week!
Plant some seeds as a symbol of the new life of Easter!
Jesus the Divine Mercy (We celebrated this special Feast last Sunday)
The responses traditionally said throughout Eastertide are;
‘Alleluia!’ (Praise the Lord) and
‘This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!’ Psalm 119:24
Our prayers today:
Risen Lord Jesus,
Be gracious to us and bless us. May Your Face shine its light upon us and give us Your peace. Amen. (Adapted from Psalm 67:1)
Our Lady of Lourdes, Patron of our Archdiocese and our MAC, Health of the Sick and Comforter of the Afflicted, Pray for us. Amen.
St Luke, Beloved Physician (Doctor) and companion of St Paul the Apostle, Patron of Doctors and Healthcare professionals, Pray for us. Amen.
St Bede, Patron of our School Community, Pray for us. Amen.

Our scripture reading today comes from St John’s Gospel:

Extra resources these have been passed on by the Diocesan Education Department:
Blessings to you all on this day.
