Please see below some exciting musical offers from Severn Arts. If your child enjoyed learning the cornet or baritone in Year 5 music this year, you are welcome to sign up! Please continue to use the instrument you took home for now. If your child receives brass lessons already this applies to you, but please remember that if your child is already receiving guitar, drums or woodwind already with us through St Bede’s own providers, this would be in addition to that. Fully funded places are available through Severn Arts- let’s get making music!
We are delighted to be able to tell you that our music teachers will be available to teach online during the summer holidays.
Severn Arts is offering a four-week block of lessons for children already receiving instrumental or vocal tuition and a four-week block of taster lessons for children keen to start learning the ukulele or recorder. Both blocks of lessons will start on 20 July 2020.
Is your child already learning to play an instrument or having vocal tuition?
For children already playing an instrument or having vocal tuition we are offering a choice of either a 20 minute or 30 minute lesson.
4 x 20-minute lessons = £50
4 x 30-minute lessons = £75
We are also offering up to 25 fully funded Severn Arts places. Read more to see if you meet the criteria for a fully funded place.
Is your child interested in learning to play the ukulele or recorder?
For children new to learning an instrument we are offering a four-week block of taster lessons either in the ukulele or recorder. Instruments can be provided free of charge if required.
In the lessons children will be taught:
- How to hold and play the instrument
- Understand how music works
- Play simple but beautiful tunes
- Music is fun!
The cost of the block of four lessons is £50 unless you qualify for a fully funded Severn Arts place. Read more to see if you meet the criteria for a fully funded place.
