Hello everyone, hope you are well, and your day and week has been going well for you so far.

As we approach the weekend once more, may the Lord in His love bless you and your families as you spend time together. Stay safe and well.

Welcome to Friday’s Spiritual Lift.

Once again for the final time this week, our weekly scripture verses come from the First Letter of Saint Peter. (1 Pet.2:9) They are taken from the CTS Catholic Bible.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a people set apart to sing the praises of God, who called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light.”

Today we remember Saint Elizabeth.  She was Our Lady’s cousin and the wife of Zechariah and the mother of Saint John the Baptist.  Here is some more information about her and a video from www.catholic.org.

Daily Prayer For The Holy Souls – Prayers – Catholic Online

Month of November:
November is the special month dedicated to praying for the Holy Souls, the faithful departed, our deceased loved ones, friends and neighbours.   It is also the month of Remembrance.

During this month of November, let us pause and remember to pray for all those who have died recently and those whose anniversaries occur around this time. As Coronavirus is still very much with us, let us remember especially all those who have lost their lives due to COVID19, in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and in all countries of the world.  May the Lord grant them eternal rest, light and peace within His Heavenly Kingdom and give comfort and help to their loved ones in these days.

Our prayers this month:

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, may they rest in peace.  Amen.

May all those who have died be received into the peace and happiness of God’s eternal home and may His light and love surround them always.  Amen.
