Hello everyone, good morning and I hope you are well today.

As we begin a new week and a new day, let us ask the Lord to support and guide us in all we do today.  May His loving Holy Spirit help us to be the very best we can be.

Our Scripture for this week comes from the Book of Psalms. (Psalm 97:1) Our verses this week come from the CTS New Catholic Bible.

“Sing a new song to the LORD for he has worked wonders.  His right hand and holy arm have brought salvation.”

The Motherhood of Mary:

Today, within the traditional calendar of the Catholic Church on 11th October, we honour Our Blessed Lady in a very special way and today we remember the Motherhood of Our Blessed Lady, Mary the Mother of Jesus.

October – the Month of the Holy Rosary and Our Blessed Lady:

During this month of October we focus upon the Holy Rosary.  We are encouraged to think about Our Lady as we dedicate this month to Her as Queen of the Holy Rosary.  This month is a beautiful way to offer our prayers to Our Blessed Lady and say Her special prayer, which is the dearest to Her heart, the Rosary.

During this special month, let’s make a special effort to pick up our Rosary beads again and begin praying this beautiful prayer.

Our Rosary Mysteries today are the Joyful Mysteries.

We remember the happy times which Jesus, Mary and Joseph shared together in our five Mysteries today.  Let us give thanks to our loving God for all the blessings He has given us and offer to Our Blessed Lady, Our Mother in Heaven all our joys today.  May we join our prayers with hers today.

The Joyful Mysteries are:

The Annunciation; The Visitation; The Birth of Jesus; The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple; The finding of Jesus in the Temple after three days of being lost.
