Good morning everyone, hope you are all well today.
Welcome to our Spiritual Lift for Tuesday.
Daily Candle for Teams in school today.
A special candle will be offered today for all involved with the Tuesday Teams working and learning in our School Communities- Pupils, Staff and their families.
Our ‘candle’ prayer this week: Taken from the Book of the Psalms (Psalm 18:28)
It is you who light my lamp;
the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.”
Weekly Scripture Verse:
Our scripture verse for us to ponder and pray for this week comes from the Second Letter of St Paul to the Christians in Corinth (2 Corinthians 4:18) This verse is taken from the New Revised Standard Version of the Scriptures (NRSV) Catholic Edition. Let us give thanks to the Lord for the precious gift of His Word, the Bible. May it guide and strengthen us in these days. Be encouraged as our God speaks to us. May these words help us as we begin another week in lockdown.
“…we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.”
Month of January.
During the month of January, we focus on the Holy Childhood of Jesus and the Names and Titles of Jesus.
During this month we can offer special prayers to the Infant Jesus. It is one of the mysteries of our faith that our powerful and eternal God chose to be born as a Man for us here on earth and Jesus was found in human form as a little baby who had to grow as the years went by, just as we do.
He became like us in all things except sin. As an infant, Jesus was little, helpless and weak for He wanted to be with us as He is our Immanuel, God-With-Us. Whatever we face today and going forward into this New Year, Jesus is with and walks beside us, sometimes carrying us gently in His loving arms when we are unable to stand.
Our prayer this month:
To the Divine Infant of Prague, Our Lord Jesus. Please see the link below.
Our Name and Title of Jesus for today:
Jesus, our Redeemer
