ST  AUGUSTINE’S – JULY TRANSITION PROGRAMME

10th and 11th July 2019

On Wednesday 10th July and Thursday 11th July 2019, your child will undergo a two day transition programme at St Augustine’s school.  They will experience our school routine, encompassing collective worship, registration, breaktime and lunch.  Additionally, they will join the lessons that they have selected for GCSE, and therefore gain a useful insight into how life at St Augustine’s operates.

Arrival: Please arrive by 9am each morning where Heads of Year and the Senior Leadership Team, will meet the students outside Reception on the tennis courts.

Uniform: Students should wear their current school uniform including shoes.

What to bring: Students should bring their usual school bag containing pencil case, trainers, PE kit and some money if they would like to buy some snacks at breaktime.

Lunch: Students will need to bring a packed lunch if this is what they usually eat.

Additionally, they can bring a small amount of money to purchase snacks in the Canteen.  £2.20 will buy a hot meal and a drink.  If your child has a free school meal, then our Canteen will be aware and they will receive a free school meal for their lunch.

Collection: The school day will end at 3.45pm each day.

If they catch a bus, they will assemble on the main yard at the front of the school where they will be directed to the appropriate bus.  If they are being collected, I would respectfully ask all parents to park with due consideration for our local residents and neighbours and in line with parking restrictions.

If there is anything you feel we should know about your child prior to 10th July, please inform:
