St Bede’s Term Dates 2019/2020 – Attendance

Term Dates for 2019/2020 – see below.

Attendance at school up to the age of 16 is a legal requirement and it is the responsibility of parents to ensure that their child attends school regularly. In order to encourage maximum attendance levels, both staff and pupils need to work within a framework of good practice that both supports and helps to motivate pupils, and is consistent across the school. Pupils should aim to meet the target of 96% or above attendance.

100% attendance is certainly possible, but in the event of your child being away from school it is essential that you, the parent/carer, inform the school for reasons for absence on a DAILY basis.

If you do require leave from school for a medical/dental appointment etc you must provide evidence (apt card/text) or for a longer period of time a ‘request for leave form’ must be completed (e-mail reception@st-bede’ to obtain a form)

St Bede’s do not authorise holidays during term time and requests for leave could lead to a referral to the Education Investigation Service, which may result in a fine.
